A building with a coat of arms on the front of it

Learn about my story, from its origins to now.

The Encounter

It was just another day back in 2017 when my mother-in-law walked in carrying an old sewing machine that had belonged to her grandmother.

There was nothing remarkable about it at first glance. And yet, the moment I saw it, something about it grabbed my attention though I couldn’t quite say why.

It sparked a quiet urge to learn. A close family friend, an experienced seamstress, gently took me under her wing. Thanks to her, I made my very first stitches on that machine — bringing it back to life, one thread at a time.

The Passion

It felt like a whole new world had opened up fabrics, construction techniques, the unique personality of each machine, and the people who bring them to life. Every little detail became a new source of inspiration.

At the same time, I spent countless hours designing, sewing, failing, starting over, and gradually bringing my ideas to life. That’s when I made the decision to learn from experts in their field to refine my skills and deepen my knowledge.

Craftsmanship

Year after year, I came to understand how time and energy shape a craft that’s both authentic and deeply personal.

I took the time to study fabrics — to feel their texture, observe how they drape, and how they evolve over time. Every project, every setback, every detail helped refine both my hand and my eye.

Even now, I keep growing through what I create. Because I know that true craftsmanship takes time — and I’m still on that path, always searching for a better, more honest gesture.

Sharing

Creating is something deeply personal but I’ve always felt it truly comes alive when it’s shared.

Telling a story through a piece, offering a garment that carries someone through their day and elevates the moment that’s where my purpose lies.

Each Maison Parris creation is designed to keep that story going: one of passion, craftsmanship, and a touch of dream.

But you’re the one who writes what comes next. By choosing to wear my work, you recognize its value — and give it life by weaving it into your own.

Until next time.
